We The Curious (Bristol)

Technical snafu at TWITTER

During lockdown, and for an as yet unexplained and rather unfathomable reason, Big Tech company TWITTER suspended the TWITTER account of We the Curious.

Thanks to the swift action of a student; We The Curious managed to retain their original TWITTER handle (@wethecurious_) however by the time their account was reactivated they had lost the 20,000 followers that they had built up.

We the Curious are now desperately trying to rebuild their original follower base but it will be a long and slow process.

If you are a TWITTER user and used to follow We The Curious you might have thought they’ve been a bit quiet of late, the reason is that due to TWITTER’s technical snafu you are no longer following We the Curious so please re-follow them at the earliest opportunity.

If you are a TWITTER user who didn’t follow We the Curious then first of all why didn’t you and secondly please follow them now as they rebuild their followers. As Radio Hams we regularly play with technical toys that are closely associated with the science, technology and engineering that We the Curious make accessible and relevant.

Finally, if you are not using TWITTER you may want to consider joining the approximately 290 million (as at December 2021) regular monthly users including many corporations, media outlets and celebrities. We have a “How-To” on the club website at https://www.sbarc.co.uk/how-tos-and-faqs/twitter/ to help you create your account and even suggests possible organisations or individuals to follow.
