May 7/8 was the weekend of Mills on the Air. After 2 years of Covid restrictions this was the first major Special Event that the Club undertook and represents the start of the Special Event season.

Following a briefing at the Club through the hybrid THird THursday meeting in April the event almost started with a hitch when no-one collected the necessary equipment from the Club stores on the Thursday before the event, however this small hiccup was rectified and all of the necessary equipment was available on site to allow the operation of an HF SSB station.
