Lighthouses on the Air – After Action Report

A quick summary of the fun on the 'John Sebastian'

International Lighthouses and Lightships on the Air weekend took place over the 21/22 August 2021. South Bristol ARC took part in the event activating UK0176 which is former Light Vessel 55 now the ‘John Sebastian’ and home to the Cabot Cruising Club in Bathurst Basin part of Bristol’s historic city docks.

A good number of the Club members took part in the weekends operation and we managed to work a few other members on the air.

Thanks to everyone who dropped in at Bathurst Basin and helped out with the operation. There are a few words and pictures as well as a copy of the log on the club website at https://www.sbarc.co.uk/club-activities/international-lighthouses-and-lightships-on-the-air/illw-2021/. Thanks to Eddie M0LJT for providing a copy of the picture he took on the Saturday, I know that there are some additional pictures from Sunday due to find their way to me and some of these can be added to the report when they are received.

I hope everyone who took part had a good time and the Club is looking forward to the next Special Event Operation at the Somerset and Dorset Railway Heritage Trust in Midsomer Norton for Railways on the Air on 25/26 September 2021.
