We are running woefully behind in our publication of “After Action Reports”, we are hoping to address this over the next few weeks and this includes not only publishing reports but also updating eQSL cards and other “background” tasks.
Airfields on the Air 2023 took place all the way back in April 2023, this was a new event for us, masterminded by Greg 2W1BUF. The former RAF Westonzoyland was identified as a local former airfield that operated during the war which had the added bonus of tying in with Greg’s research as the official squadron historian for 100 Squadron who operated out of RAF Westonzoyland in 1926 and subsequent years.
This post is to announce two new pages on the Club website:
- An overview of Airfields on the Air including some history of RAF Westonzoyland at this URL: https://www.sbarc.co.uk/club-activities/airfields-on-the-air/
- An “After Action Report” of the operation over the weekend of 1/2 April 2023 including a report of the stations we spoke to at this URL: https://www.sbarc.co.uk/club-activities/airfields-on-the-air/airfields-2023/
