THIRD THURSDAY: Informal ZOOM Discussion

The Third Thursday is reserved for an informal ZOOM only chat, please feel free to dial in using the meeting details below and have a chat about pretty much anything that anyone else is prepared to discuss with you. Although we are a radio club and expect an amount of technical talk about equipment, antennas and the like other topics of discussion may well emerge as the chat goes on.

We are dependent on the technology working for this to take place. Steve G0UQT is our ZOOM coordinator and usually opens the virtual room between around 19:30. As it’s informal there isn’t really a start and end time in the strictest sense but 20:00 – 21:00 is likely to be the peak time.

All of the foregoing is subject to the vagaries of technology and the stability of the various internet connections, which cannot be taken for granted!

A note on etiquette:

Meetings over ZOOM/JITSI/TEAMS etc. are now commonplace and most people are probably familiar, but if you’re newer to this note that the lack of “body language” can sometimes lead to confusion over who is going to speak so it’s worth watching the screen a bit more closely than you might watch individuals in a face to face meeting.
